VBS

In July I helped out with VBS at church. The theme was "Avalanche Ranch" and the kids were supposed to be on a wild ranch adventure all week long while they learned all these great attributes about God- God is Real, God is Strong, God is With us, God is Awesome, and God is Love. Anyway, we needed a cowboy to be the funny thing that teaches the kids all these things. The cowboy had to do lots of stupid stunts and things that make little kids laugh, but make adults roll their eyes at the stupidity of it all. So anyway, they needed a cowboy. Guess who?

One of the most fun skits was teach how God is Strong so we don't need to be brave and I had to act afraid of the "little doggie" that I was trying to rope. We used a funny little dog that belonged to one of the ladies at church. The skit was funny- me being afraid of this silly little furball, but it was more fun to bring her home to play with Caleb for a little while. Those two just played and played and played and played. It looks like Caleb is killing the little dog (Chloe) but she kept going back for more. Since Chloe was so tiny and fit perfectly into Caleb's mouth, she went back to church basically just a big ball of slobber. Yum.

And just in case you missed our vicious creature:
